Krista Thompson, a brave breast cancer survivor, and her family are hosting this event to give back to the community that supported them during their journey. Krista received exceptional care from the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center staff, and she wants to ensure that others in the Owensboro community can receive the same level of care. Your support at this fundraiser will help provide resources and support for cancer patients in need. Let's come together to make a difference and Give Cancer the Boot.
MORE WAYS TO GIVE WITH TAKE 10 MARKET
When you fuel up at Take 10 Market from October 1st through November 16th every fill up benefits the cancer patients and their families. Take 10 Market will donate 10¢ for every gallon of fuel sold during that time to Owensboro Health benefiting Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center patients! It's such an incredible thing to do.
CANCER PREVENTION TIPS
Preventing cancer involves a combination of lifestyle choices and regular health screenings. You can reduce your risk of getting cancer by making healthy choices like keeping a healthy weight, exercising, avoiding tobacco, getting screened, managing stress, being informed, limiting the amount of alcohol you drink, and protecting your skin.
Making lifestyle changes can significantly reduce your cancer risk, but it's important to consult healthcare professionals for personalized advice.
