Kentucky is known for several things- horse racing, bourbon, and bluegrass (the music AND the actual grass). Of course, Kentucky is also home to the Country Music Highway, a long stretch of highway in the eastern side of the state that has given us some tremendously successful and notable names in country music- Loretta Lynn, Chris Stapleton, The Judds, Billy Ray Cyrus, the glorious Patty Loveless, Tyler Childers, Dwight Yoakam and more.

It's the eastern side of the Commonwealth's impressive history with country music that inspired a recent poll on the western side of the state. WBKR-FM in Owensboro, Kentucky, recently asked is listeners in western Kentucky this question:
