Dairy Queen Celebrating 85th Birthday With Pretty Sweet Deal
I know our local Dairy Queens stay busy making ice cream cakes and treats to celebrate customer birthdays, but now it's time for DQ to celebrate its birthday!
Shout out to my new friend Rebekah, who decorates the beautiful and delicious cakes and cupcakes at the Dairy Queen on New Hartford Road here in Owensboro. We met on Miracle Treat Day a while back, and she was a busy bee stocking that cooler. She does an amazing job.
Confession, I typically zip through the drive-thru, so I also noticed the throwback photos on the wall for the first time. Vintage neon DQ signs, celebrating the fact that the popular fast food joint has been slinging ice cream for 85 years now. Most of us have never known a world without chicken-finger baskets and Dilly Bars, and thank goodness!

Isn't it nice that they are giving US a treat for THEIR birthday? I saw on my DQ App today that from now until September 21st, you can get a small Blizzard for only 85 cents. All you have to do is make a $1 purchase. This offer is only available on the App (but trust me, if you visit often, you'll be happy you have it anyway.)
The hardest part will be deciding which Blizzard to get. Right now, they have their new Caramel Toffee Cookie, and fan favorite Pumpkin Pie is back for Fall. Or will you choose one of their most popular flavors?
