Okay, let's do this. "El Cerrito Place" by Kenny Chesney is a really cool song written by Keith Gattis that I first heard when Charlie Robison recorded it several years ago.

I'm going with my take that it's about a guy looking for someone who made a huge impact on his life despite the fact that they were together for only a brief time. The lyrics and Kenny's performance expertly evoke the real, lived-in, sun-baked Los Angeles.

It's a vivid image set to music. And that always works for me.
