In honor of Arbor Day, the Daviess County Conservation District is giving away free tree seedlings. The trees will be available to the public Thursday, April 12th between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and if any trees remaining Friday, April 13th 8 a.m. till noon at the Conservation District office located at 3032 Alvey Park Drive West, Owensboro.

The kind of seedlings available include: Southern Red Oak, Flowering Dogwood, Pawpaw, Yellow Poplar, Persimmon, Shumard Oak, and Pin Oak. Seedlings will be distributed on a first come basis.
