Two legendary country music icons are working on some holiday movie magic. According to other online reports, filming is now in session at Dolly's theme park, Dollywood in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson are sure to make for one dynamic duo in this film set to be a Christmas classic. The pair was spotted by theme park attendees and was said to be quite cheerful!

The upcoming film is also set to include other household-named actors and talents such as Jimmy Fallon, Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus, and Jimmie Allen as well as several others. This televised holiday special is set to air on NBC sometime this upcoming holiday season.

New Dollywood Addition

The theme park has excitedly announced a ride expansion is in the works! A 25-million-dollar roller coaster is set to open in spring 2023. The roller coaster is going to be named Big Bear Mountain. And while Dolly shares the enthusiasm for the expansion, she's stated that this particular ride is not one she plans on experiencing firsthand.
“I’m not going to get on that,” Dolly said as onlookers laughed. “Y’all know me better than that! But, I am going to be happy to hear all your big tall tales once you get back.” as quoted on the American Songwriter's website.

The new coaster is said to have an approximant ride time of two minutes, on over 4,000 feet of track with speeds topping out at 48 miles per hour.

It going to be an exciting year for fans of the country singer, with holiday anticipation being strong with the new movie announcement and for the thrill-seeking crowd with the new coaster set to be operational next year.
