I have met a lot of famous people through my line of work, but I have never met a famous animal, unless you count Pluto. But that was Disney World and it was a costume.

Then again, how many opportunities to meet famous creatures present themselves to begin with? I suppose live mascots like Uga at the University of Georgia get their fair share of love from the student body, and a farm in Kentucky is home to retired Kentucky Derby winners. There are a couple of opportunities, I suppose.

And if you happen to be in East Tennessee during this month of November, depending on "when," you could get a photo op with the legendary Budweiser Clydesdales. The iconic equines have decided it's time to pay another visit to the Smokies.

In addition to the two stops in Knoxville on November 20th, the Clydesdales will be at the Foothills Mall in Maryville TN on the 21st followed by a stop at Food City in Deane Hill. It's part of Anheuser-Busch's annual tour of the prolific ponies which make stops all across the country. Last year, they made a cameo at Knoxville's Veterans Day Parade:

From my childhood, I've always loved watching these beautiful animals in action, which, of course, is pretty much them pulling around the equally legendary Budweiser wagon. Still, they are always worth seeing. And so are their Super Bowl commercials. In fact, my two all-time favorite Super Bowl ads occurred in the same year--the Dodge Ram "God Made a Farmer" spot narrated by Paul Harvey and this one:

And kudos to whomever secured the rights to "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac. Great touch.

So what's the score? Are you planning on being in east Tennessee within the next couple of weeks? If so, the experience of a lifetime will be trotting into the region just about the time you get there.
