Eat Breakfast with Santa! 2nd Annual Christmas Wish Benefit with Offroad Jeepers

Because last year's fundraiser was a huge success, Dairy Queen and the Owensboro Offroad Jeepers are at it again. Stop by on Saturday to check out the decked-out jeeps, drop off some toys, and eat breakfast with Santa.

Whenever there's a big community event, you can count on Owensboro Offroad Jeepers to show up. They're a great bunch of humans that love to give back and help people in need. Last year they teamed up with Dairy Queen on Frederica Street in Owensboro, to do just that. The Christmas Wish fundraiser was such a success that they plan to do it again Saturday!

DAIRY QUEEN/14 FOODS HOSTS CHRISTMAS WISH FUNDRAISER

Grab a coffee and breakfast at Dairy Queen on Frederica Street in Owensboro on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022. The Owensboro Offroad Jeepers will be on hand from 7 AM until 10:30 AM collecting toys for families in need this holiday season. Make a toy or monetary donation and get 10% off your breakfast. Everyone is welcome to stop by for some family fun. Santa will be there to say hello, pose for photos, and to hear what children want for Christmas this year. OVER 1,300 CHRISTMAS WISH LETTERS RECEIVED TO DATE

Before we get to the hottest toys, the trend with this year's letters is alarming. 70% of the letter submissions are asking for clothes. 25% are asking for simple things like socks and underwear. Many are just asking for personal hygiene products. In my seven years as the director of Christmas Wish, this is the most requests I've seen. We offer new winter coats to any child that needs one but only supply clothing if we have some on hand. We focus more on toys for children and a Christmas meal for the family. If you can donate socks, underwear, or pajamas it would be greatly appreciated.

Owensboro Offroad Jeepers is a Jeep Club based out of Owensboro, Kentucky. We are a family-oriented club that has grown from nothing to now holding a strong membership family and still growing daily! We do our best to provide this incredible Jeep community with monthly Meet and Greets, Wheeling Adventures, Charity Rides, Fundraisers, and so much more! As we get ready to celebrate our 46th Anniversary Season of Christmas, let's take a look back at the record-breaking 2021 season.

Because of efforts and generosity like this fundraiser, 1,628 families in need received Christmas last year. Over 5,000 children had presents under the tree. Around 1,200 families had a Christmas meal on the table, and over 25,000 gifts were handed out during the holiday season.
