I say we don't have to wait until October to start trying to scare ourselves. I say there's no time like the present.

This is the reason I'm happy to have found a map of more than 300 haunted locations in Kentucky and Indiana, thanks to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

I mean, this is really comprehensive. It doesn't look like you could throw a dart in Kentucky and not hit a ghostly locale or two.

And, what do you know, Owensboro makes the list 11 times.

That's right. Reports of ghostly encounters or noises have made it to the ears of the LCJ and I am here for all of them.

I was familiar with the stories about the Theatre Workshop of Owensboro and Daviess County Middle School. Heck, we talked about the latter when I was a STUDENT there. That is a really old building.

But Ben Hawes State Park, the Owensboro-Daviess County Public Library, Civil War sites in Deanefield on or near the Daviess County/Ohio County line, the part of the old hospital that remains, Owensboro Catholic Middle School, Owensboro High School, the Wilson House, the River Park Center, and the old Whitesville public school are here as well.

And I want to investigate them all.

But that's just Daviess County. There are creepy places everywhere it seems.

I need them.

So what if it's January. I'm down for a ghoulish gallivant anytime.
