Epic ‘Notebook’ Inspired Engagement Shoot for Western Kentucky Couple
During this endearing 'The Notebook' inspired shoot with Melissa Kluck Photography, romance was in the air for Zachary Ashton and Lindsey Leppke. The popular romantic movie classic inspired this couple's canoe engagement photos and the results are breathtaking.
ZACH & LINDSEY'S LOVE STORY
Zachary Ashton and Lindsey Leppke took their love to the next level! They've been together a little over a year. Zach is from Illinois and Lindsey is from Owensboro. They met through social media and knew they found "their person" pretty quickly.
"On a random Tuesday, I was sitting on my lunch break scrolling through Facebook when I came across one HUNK of a man’s profile picture. It just so happened to be listed under the “people you may know” section, though we had ZERO mutual friends. I sent him a friend request. To my surprise, about 30 minutes later he accepted it and immediately sent me a DM. I thought for sure I was being catfished at this point.", Lindsey shared about their initial meeting
This random act turned into an epic love story and a surprise engagement!
ROMANTIC ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS INSPIRED BY 'THE NOTEBOOK'
My friend Melissa with Melissa Kluck Photography takes phenomenal photos. When I saw the photos she posted from this engagement shoot, I wanted to find out more. I wanted to see all the pictures of the gorgeous couple, the backdrop, and the obvious "play" on the Notebook.
"I'm a hopeless romantic and a sucker for a good love story, so naturally, The Notebook scene with the canoe really captivated my interest in recreating that for pictures! I didn't want your typical engagement shoot; I wanted something that stood out from other themes and settings. Something that screamed sweetness, but still presented a mushy sense of intimacy.", Lindsey shared about her inspiration
It worked and I quickly fell in love with the photos inspired by the 2004 movie ' The Notebook'. They captured the love between these soul mates beautifully. You can tell they have a fun sense of adventure.
But, not everything went according to plan during the photo shoot.
"I will say, that I almost flipped the canoe on more than one occasion, we took a hike down to a creek nearby where I slipped and fell on some wet limestone rock (slammed my hip and almost ripped off my entire thumbnail), and we got our truck stuck in some mud--but hey, that's all apart of the adventure in doing something out of the ordinary, right? Grateful that Melissa was on board and up for the challenge!!", Lindsey shared about the adventure
