There are so many fascinating things on the internet tied to interesting facts related to the month/day/year you were born. However, would you believe some of the terms you use in the 21st century have been around for way longer than you thought? This is simple.

Go to this link, choose the year you were born, and a word will pop up that was coined that year. So what's mine? I was born in 1975.

My word is: brainiac, meaning a very intelligent person; an expert. Well duh! I went ahead and checked the words associated with the birth years of my family. My Dad (1951) blast-off, my Mom (1952) noshery (????), well nosh means eat, so a noshery would be a restaurant, more akin to a snack place; my sister Hillary (1981) chill pill (sounds about right), my brother-in-law Bobby was born the same year as me, so he's a brainiac too, maybe.

Unfortunately, the OED birth year calendar only goes up to 2004, so Zoey's word? We'll never know. Instead, I'll leave you with this...
