Fall-Like Weather Returns to Owensboro and the Tri-State
I have a theory about September 1st. In recent years--every single year, as a matter of fact--it feels like September 1st is followed almost immediately by December 31st.
Obviously, it's not.
But I was taught a long time ago by my elders that as you grow older, time just seems to speed up.
It's like we can't slow it down.
And it always seems to move the fastest in the final four months of the year.
That phenomenon makes it unfortunate that fall happens during this time.
It's my favorite time of the year but just GOES SO FAST!
So it's nice when we get a shot of fall weather before fall arrives.
That fall weather shot happens this week.
Check out this seven-day forecast from Eyewitness News.
Lows in the 50s and low 60s. Highs in the low 80s. And next Sunday, a high of SEVENTY-NINE FREAKIN DEGREES!
Hallelujah!
I've been seeing more and more folks anticipating the arrival of fall on social media, and I am right there with them.
Again, I don't want to hurry anything since time seems to do enough hurrying without any help from anyone, but I am looking forward to it.
I always do once we get past Labor Day.
But, yeah, here comes more fall weather ahead of schedule. We're just three weeks away from it being ON schedule.
