FINALLY! McDonald's Announces Return of Fan Favorite Snack Wrap

I am almost embarrassed to admit how closely I have been following this saga. From when they were discontinued about eight years ago to back in September when I predicted their official return would be very soon. And I was RIGHT! McDonald's has officially announced that the Snack Wrap WILL be back on golden arches menus in 2025.

McDonald's Prepping for Snack Wrap Return

Certain United States test markets have been trying out chicken strips again after years of removing similar options like Chicken Selects and Buttermilk tenders. Of course, this is a vital ingredient of one of the most missed fast food items ever, the beloved Snack Wrap.

Why Was McDonald's Snack Wrap Discontinued?

Discontinued in 2016, the Snack Wrap was apparently too complicated to make efficiently. I'm not buying it, though. Taco Bell slings all kinds of goodness on a crunch wrap supreme! Snack Wraps have pretty simple ingredients: seasoned chicken topped with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and ranch sauce wrapped in a soft white flour tortilla.

Not All Snack Wraps Are Created Equal

If you are lucky enough to travel to Canada, it is still available on the menu. I know other restaurant chains offer their own version of the McDonald's Snack Wrap, but they just aren't the same. Wendy's, Burger King, Sonic, and Arby's to name a few in the area.

McDonald's Replaces Onion Supplier After E.Coli Incident

This morning President of McDonald's USA Joe Erlinger spoke to Good Morning America. He talked about McValue meals and apologized for the recent E.Coli incident involving an onion provider. Focused on the importance of quality control, he assured McDonald's lovers that they continue to make sure their food is safe.

When will McDonald's Snack Wrap return to the U.S.?

And I guess to make it up to all of us, they are FINALLY officially and deliciously bringing the Snack Wrap back to McDonald's restaurants in the U.S. sometime in 2025.
