Flood Warning – The River is Up! [VIDEO]

The Ohio River is UP.  I didn't think it was going to be too bad so I went downtown to investigate.  I took some video and some pictures and I was pretty astonished... but I was glad that I made it down before the water started coming over the wall.  Check out the pictures.

I remember a few days ago I was talking to my dad and he asked me if Owensboro could flood.  I told him that Owensboro was built up pretty high and it probably wouldn't happen.  2 days later I go down to the river and it is almost over the rail.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning.  Now in the video I tell you that the warning will be in effect until the 19th.... I was wrong.  It's actually in effect until the 20th.  So if you live down by the river.  Sand bag the front door.

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.
