If you love good ole' hometown bluegrass, mountain or gospel music then you'll want to attend the Kentucky Fried Pickin’ Bluegrass Jam Festival in Downtown Owensboro. It's FREE and open to the public.

In the past, musicians from seven different states were in attendance coming from as far as California and Colorado. We can't wait to see who shows up this year. It's going to be so much fun and entertaining. My dad absolutely loved Bluegrass Music and one of my fondest memories is watching musicians play when he visited. He would tap his foot and smile along to the music. This event is something special, and I know that he would have loved to attend it, if he was still here with us.

"The all-night jam sessions are back! We had to skip last year’s event out of caution, but that just means that we’re readier than ever to go full-throttle. In addition to all the music being shared inside the lobby, hotel rooms, and hallways, there will also be an outdoor stage. Even if you’re not a musician coming to play, grab your friends and a couple lawn chairs, socially distance, and enjoy the music! We’ve all been cooped up and are itching to get out, and Kentucky Fried Pickin’ is the perfect way to have some authentic Owensboro fun.", Visit Owensboro
