Are you an avid angler? Do you love the quiet thrill of casting a line and waiting for a bite? Fishing has always held a special place in my heart! I have fond memories of going ice fishing with my dad when I was growing up. He worked long hours, so those trips meant the world to me. It was our time to bond, laugh, and just be together. Now, I prefer fishing from a boat because there's nothing like the calm of being on the water, surrounded by nature. My husband feels the same way. He's a passionate fisherman and heads to the lake almost every weekend. It’s his escape, his happy place. How about you? Do you love to fish?

Take a Kid Fishing Day at Panther Creek Park

Take a Kid Fishing Day on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Panther Creek Park is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a fun and relaxing day outdoors with your child. The event coincides with Kentucky’s Free Fishing Weekend, so no fishing licenses or permits are required. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. near the Feather Landing Shelter, with fishing taking place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Families are encouraged to bring their fishing poles and bait, though a limited number will be available at the park.
