The Junior League of Owensboro is hosting a special event this Saturday that's going to greatly impact families in the area. April 22nd is Free Laundry Day and the Junior League is partnering with two local laundromats to provide FREE laundry services to community families that need those services.

Here's how it works. There are two participating facilities hosting Free Laundry Day.

The first is the Discount Laundry Room at 1741 Scherm Road in Owensboro.

The second is the Laundry Room at 3410 Old Hartford Road.

Free Laundry Day gets underway at 10am at both locations and continues through 2pm or while supplies last.  The Junior League is supplying machine fees, laundry detergent, dryer sheets and snacks and activities for the kids.
