Friday After 5 Announces Expanded ‘All-American Fourth of July’ Lineup
The springlike temperatures that have been coming and going have triggered thoughts about the upcoming season of Friday After 5, presented by Jagoe Homes. In short, I can't wait. And, what's more, the 2026 season will mark the event's 30th anniversary.
Friday After 5
Who's ready for 13 weeks of free concerts on the Owensboro Riverfront? Who's ready to be surrounded by friends and family and all those food trucks? We're getting closer to the milestone season's premiere.
Friday After 5 Fourth of July
And right smack-dab in the middle of Season 30 will come an expanded edition of the "All-American Fourth of July," a celebration of our nation's 250th birthday. It all begins on Friday, July 3rd, with an eye-popping drone show over the Ohio River. On Saturday, July 4th, you can expect what we've all come to expect...spectacular fireworks set off at multiple locations around the city. In addition to the river, crowds will gather at Owensboro Warehouse Leasing (the old General Electric manufacturing plant) on Old Hartford Road, Moreland Park, and the fields at Southern Little League. Owensboro Public Events Director Tim Ross has more details about the Independence Day holiday weekend.
Friday After 5 Community Partners
Friday After 5 is also seeking Community Partners for the 30th season, but there are limited openings. If you're interested, you'd better hurry and send a message to CP30@fridayafter5.com or fill out the form on the website.
Friday After 5 is just weeks away, and its 30th season, which coincides with America's 250th anniversary, promises to be the most exciting one yet.
