Fun Finds Under $50 And A Fashion Show At A Local Kentucky Consignment Shop [PHOTOS]
The thrill of consignment shopping is knowing you are sure to find a deal and something you will absolutely love among all the treasures.
THE JOY OF CONSIGNMENT
Have you ever been consignment shopping? It's a blast. If you have never been it's basically a store where people bring their gently used or new items like clothing, shoes, jewelry, and household to a store and the owner sells them and then gives the person back a percentage of the profits. Most of the time it is a 50/50 split.
I remember the first time my momma took me to a store she gave me $5 (this was in the 90s) and told me I could spend it how I wanted. I ran my fingers through the clothing and gazed at all the jewelry and couldn't believe the deals we were getting. After that, I was hooked and I"ve been a consignment/thrift girl since.

SUPER FUN FINDS & A FASHION SHOW
Angel here and last week I took our new summer interns here at WBKR to a local consignment store and played dress-up with them. Of course, both, Isaac and Jacob were super good sports and game for whatever I picked out for them.
I told them we would do two looks each and I even let them pick out items for me. We had to go off what we knew about one another from just the week that we had been around each other.
Isaac was first up. His personality could literally light up a room. He loves bright colors and dressing for any occasion. He also doesn't have a problem tapping into his feminine side so we went with it.
He rocked out that fall-away BCBG red skirt like no other. He has the legs for it.
Next up was Jacob. He is a bit more reserved but came out of his shell and his clothes to oblige my fashion rendezvous. He told me I'll wear whatever you pick out. He loves florals. He has shown up more than one day in a button-down Hawaiian-like shirt and khakis ( I said that in my Jake from State Farm voice).
He was actually pretty pumped about my picks. He said he loved the pants and plaid shirt.
I decided to do a senior picture photo shoot.
I even got the guys together for a Golden Girl-inspired photo. I think Blanche would approve.
And last but not least they dressed me. I gave them some guidance and they nailed it.
We went with a Home Shopping Network look for the background. I loved this dress it was long and flowy and we even found shoes to match.
And my favorite outfit of the bunch was a Lilly Pulitzer dress paired with Katy Perry heels for a July 4th look.
Huge shout out to A Repeat Boutique Upscale Consignment Boutique for letting us stage our fashion show.
