Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville Announces the Theme for ICE! 2024
You surely know the lyrics, right? "Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul. With a corncob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal." Well, this winter in Nashville, Tennessee, Frosty is going to be made out of two millions of pounds of ice. Gaylord Opryland Resort just revealed that the theme of its 2024 ICE! exhibit will be Frosty the Snowman, who will return to Music City U.S.A. after nearly ten years.
ICE! will open for the season on Friday, November 8th and remain open through Saturday, January 4th, 2025. ICE! is one of the annual highlights of Christmas at Gaylord Opryland Resort. Past themes include:
RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER
MERRY MADAGASCAR
and SHREK THE HALLS
Of course, an incredibly popular part of ICE!- regardless of the theme- is the "ice slide" section of the show. The slides are so much fun and can be enjoyed by kids AND adults. Here's Exhibit A to prove it!
This year's exhibit will bring to life, thanks to 40 unbelievably skilled artisans who will spend over six weeks hand carving the display from roughly 6,000 blocks of ice, the beloved story of Frosty the Snowman! You'll see Frosty, his best friend Karen, Hocus Pocus (the rabbit) and Professor Hinkle.
Here's a sneak preview of what you can expect. Back in 2013, Frosty the Snowman was the ICE! theme at Gaylord Opryland. This video will give you an idea of the magic you'll find in that "old silk hat" and at ICE!
Through Thursday, August 8th, Gaylord Opryland Resort is giving you the chance to 'UNLOCK' 30% savings off ICE! tickets. To learn more and take advantage of the Early Bird Offer, CLICK HERE!
