Girls Incorporated of Owensboro-Daviess County strives to inspire all girls to be smart, strong, and bold. Not only is the organization celebrating its 50th anniversary, but their biggest fundraiser of the year is also coming up; the Red on the River Reverse Raffle.

The event will be on Saturday, June 15th at 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. at the Riverpark Center in downtown Owensboro. Each ticket buyer will get admission and opportunities to win prizes in a drawing, enjoy hors d'oerves from Nona's, partake in a cash bar, and bid on silent and live auction items. Reverse raffle tickets are $50 each, only 800 will be sold with the chance to win the grand prize of $2,500.

Some of this year’s items are a Bernedoodle puppy to be provided by Brooks and Bays GoldenDoodles. The momma is pregnant now and the winning bid will get to have the pick of the litter.  They have beautiful vacation packages for a stay at Green Turtle Bay, American Patriot Getaways cabin in Gatlinburg, relaxing time at French Lick with a pass for golfing at Donald Ross Golf Course, beautiful jewelry, Colts game, and overnight stay, Churchill downs box seats, Halo and BBL Laser certificates, the list goes on and on. Girls Inc. board members are all so committed that they are donating creative, hot selling items as well.

Artist Aaron Kizer will be joining the event and he will be painting a famous woman. DJ Shay will be providing great music for dancing. And our very own Chad Benefield will be the emcee for the event.

You can buy tickets from board members or you can purchase tickets by calling the office at (270) 684-7833.

All proceeds will go to Girls Inc. so that they can keep inspiring girls for another 50 years.
