Glenn Funeral Home Hosting “Give & Go” to Benefit Help Office of Owensboro
Many people may be inspired this New Year to volunteer or donate to local non-profits. Our friends at Glenn Funeral Home have started a generous initiative to make it easier to give back to the community in a big way.
Each month, the folks at Glenn Funeral Home choose a non-profit organization to collect donations for. I've had the pleasure of attending Glenn's Give & Go events at the end of 2024 to benefit the Daviess County Animal Shelter and Beverly's Hearty Slice.
Glenn's has a crew that spends the day collecting donations at 900 Old Hartford Rd. here in Owensboro. All folks have to do is just drive under the awning to the right of the building (there are signs to guide you) and drop off your items.
The Help Office of Owensboro
This month's non-profit is The Help Office of Owensboro. They are a huge asset to folks in need of not just food, but clothing, home items, books and toys for kiddos, personal care items, and more. Serving the community for over 50 years. Current needs are:
- Gently used or new men's and women's clothing
- Backpacks
- Personal care items
- Canned goods
When is Glenn's Give & Go?
Drive-thru donations will be accepted at the funeral home from 10AM - 2PM on January 15th, and donations can be dropped off inside the funeral home until January 22nd. If you have any further questions, please reach out to Glenn Peyton Taylor at gptaylor@glennfuneralhome.com.
