GRDHD Reports 12 New COVID-19 Cases, Eight in Daviess County
The Green River District Health Department (GRDHD) is reporting 12 new cases of COVID-19 in its seven-county district.
Daviess County has eight new cases, Henderson has three, and Union County has one.
Here's the official announcement from GRDHD:
"On Friday April 3, 2020 the Green River District Health Department reported 12 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases. Daviess County reported 8 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. Henderson County reported 3 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19. Union County reported 1 new confirmed case. Six of the confirmed cases remain hospitalized. “The days and weeks ahead are crucial to stopping the spread of COVID-19 and we all play a part in this effort. Stay home, avoid crowds and practice physical social distancing – staying at least 6 feet away from others.” said Clay Horton, Public Health Director. “We expect to see more new cases. The lab confirmed cases are only a portion of what is in the community. People must continue to be vigilant in helping stop the spread of COVID-19. ” The total number of cases reported in the district is now 78. Four additional previously confirmed cases are now reported as recovered, all in Daviess County, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 17."
