Earlier this week, my morning show co-host Mary-Katherine Maddox and I had the chance to chat with three people involved. We chatted with Kelly Yarde, who is currently a board member for the event.

We also chatted with Eric Baumberger. Eric represents the Evansville Fire Department and is a veteran Guns and Hoses fighter. His current record is 8 and 1. On the 11th, he'll try to improve to 9 and 1.

We also had the pleasure of talking with Sam Smith, who represents the Evansville Police Department and has also climbed into the ring many times. We noticed in addition to having mean right hook, Sam also has an incredible speaking voice.

Take a listen to our conversation and preview of the event.
