20 Country Songs That Would Make Great Scary Movies
Today I told my husband I am just not in the Halloween spirit like I wish I was. I got my jack-o'-lantern and skeleton blow molds out on the porch. We've been watching scary movies and making soup now that the weather has cooled off, but I need to really get in the macabre mood. Get good and spooked!
One of my favorite things to do to set a good mood is to make a playlist. So that is what we're gonna do. Ya know, some of the most popular tunes in country music history are about murder, cheating scandals, and revenge, so there are plenty of good ones to choose from. I've been working on this list for a while now and thought it would be a good idea to give it an update.
This genre even has songs that would be excellent options for those corny, cringey B-movies that you love to hate-watch. I feel like a Chattahoochie horror movie would be epic. Read this in your creepiest movie trailer voice, "Waaaay doooown yonderrrrr...on the Chattahoochieeee...it gets hotterrrr...than a hoochie... COOCHIEEE MWUAHAHA!"
The jet-skiing serial killer has a hankering for a burger and a grape sno-cone, drops his date off early, but doesn't go home? Sounds like he's up to no good in the pale moonlight!

That one is definitely a stretch, but here are the songs that I think would make great scary movies or maybe even a limited series on Netflix. The first song on our list would probably need more than a feature film to get all the juicy, suspenseful details.
