There's an important public forum scheduled this week in Owensboro, Kentucky. There, Rich Harwood will be presenting the findings of a massive research project recently conducted by The Harwood Institute. The report- Building a Better Owensboro: A New Path Forward for Owensboro-Daviess County- is the result of months of interviews with roughly 800 community members.

During the last year, The Greater Owensboro Leadership Institute partnered with The Harwood Institute to help foster a stronger civic culture in our community. That process involved in-depth and frank discussions and interviews with a variety of members from the community. That group of 800 people included community leaders and local residents who don't necessarily feel like they have a "seat at the table." Discussions focused on where Owensboro is as a community, what we're doing well, what we aren't do well and what we should do about it.
