Fundraiser Planned to Help Dustin Lorah Heal After Tragedy

Life can change in an instant, and for Dustin Lorah, a devoted husband and proud father of two, that moment came during a tragic motorcycle accident caused by a speeding, drunk driver. What was supposed to be a normal day turned into a nightmare, as Dustin was hit head-on, suffering catastrophic injuries that will forever alter his life. Although the road ahead will be long, challenging, and filled with uncertainty, one thing is certain: he will not walk this road alone. Here are some ways to help this beautiful family.

Husband, Father, and Fighter

Dustin is a husband, a dad, and someone who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. He has two kids, one of whom just made a traveling hockey team, something Dustin was so incredibly proud of. He couldn’t wait to watch him play. But instead, Dustin found himself in the hospital fighting for his life.

Moving Forward with Hope

Right now, Dustin is still in Louisville recovering. He’ll be moving to a rehab facility soon, hopefully by the end of this week or early next week, where he’ll stay for 10 to 14 days, depending on how things go. After that, he’ll come home to continue physical therapy and begin the long process of being fitted for a prosthetic leg. The doctors are hopeful he’ll be able to walk again with a high-flexibility prosthesis, and they think he’ll be able to do most things again.

As you can imagine, the medical bills are piling up. Dustin will be out of work for quite a while, and the family could really use support, not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually, too. Let’s lift this family and show them what kind of love and support this community is made of!
