For the past few weeks, we at Townsquare Media have hosted the Study Haul Scholarship Contest thanks to Robert John & Associates. One hard-working local student has been chosen for the $1,500 scholarship to further their academic success in the form of a deposit to their CollegeChoice 529 account.

All students were nominated by their loved ones and some even took the initiative to throw their own hats in the ring! After lots of support from the community in the form of shares and votes, we are excited to announce the lucky winner.

Every name on the ballot is deserving of the award. On their nomination forms, we learned of countless hours of studying, giving back to the community, and dedicating themselves to extracurricular activities or working jobs while juggling classes.  Parents and families, you should be very proud! Heck, students, give yourself a big pat on the back for all you do! You're total rock stars.

With 3,063 votes giving him a 706 vote lead over the competition, this is what his mom had to say about him on his nomination form,

"Matthew is an example for others. He loves Jesus and strives to do his best at whatever he does. He works to be the best church member, student, athlete, son, brother, uncle, boyfriend, and friend he can be.
He deserves to win this scholarship because of his unique work ethic and to help with college expenses. He is enrolled to start at Murray State University in Fall 2024. He is going to major in civil engineering and become a land surveyor. Thank you for your consideration."

Wow! What an incredible young man. Congratulations on your $1500 scholarship, Matthew. We at Townsquare Media and Robert John & Associates can't wait to see where your bright future leads!
