It’s Summerween! Home Depot Unveils 2026 Halloween Line
After weeks of fireworks, food, friends, and family, I think it's safe to say that July 4th celebrations were a success. A birthday fit for a 250-year-old! Your neighbors may be keeping the party going with late-night pyrotechnics, but for most of us, we're looking ahead to the next major holiday.
Halloween, But Make It Summer
Not to give poor Labor Day the shaft, but a new-ish trend has encouraged folks to go ahead and decorate for spooky season. Halloween + Summer =Summerween. Come on, you know you want to! I know there are LOTS of Halloween fans out there, so if getting the ghosts and skeletons out in the middle of July makes you happy, I say go for it.
Stores Jump on Summerween Trend
You certainly won't be alone; my social media feeds are filled with Summerween crafts and decorating videos. Of course, major retailers are jumping in skull first with lines of merchandise that are too cute or magical to pass up. A little ghosty with sunglasses on or floating in an inner tube? I totally "need" him!
Where to Buy Summerween Decorations
Michael's Craft Store, TJ Maxx, Wal-Mart, Home Goods, and creative folks on Etsy offer up everything from pineapple jack-o-lanterns to mummies wearing bikinis. It's so silly and fun with a hint of creepy. I love the pop of bright colors mixed in with the traditional orange and black. A perfect way to go ahead and sneak in what is normally festive in the fall.

Home Depot Giant Skelly
The GOAT when it comes to impressive displays for spooky season is Home Depot, though. They are famous for their 12-foot skeleton that is lovingly called "Skelly." I know a couple of people who keep their Skelly up all year and change his outfits for some festive flair.
Home Depot Halloween 2026 Now Available
If you are a Halloween fan, you probably await this release like it's Christmas morning. Well, it has arrived! The official Halloween decor drop for 2026 is now live on the Home Depot website. Here are a few of the coolest things I saw while scrolling.
A pirate in a sinking ship whose arms move to "steer" the wheel. There are a couple of other fun little guys, too. A skeleton stuck in a whiskey barrel after a rough night. Giving Pirates of the Caribbean vibes.

LOVE the Nightmare Before Christmas Animatronics. They have Jack and Sally and even "floating" Zero! You can find an inflatable Oogie Boogie too.

This guy is SO CUTE!!! I may need him. Get your BOO-gie on.

Your kiddos will definitely want to play "pretend alien abduction" if you put this one in your front yard!

OOh this classic stack Jack-o-Lantern Totem Pole is SO COOL. It looks like something from an epic theme park.

Is this the troll from the basement of Hogwarts?! How can he be so ugly but still so cute?

Last but not least, my favorite set! The GREMLINSSSSSS! Ready for some spooky shenanigans. Just NO candy after midnight!!

Ideas to Celebrate Summerween
So who cares what anyone else thinks?! You can do whatever you want in your own home. I honestly think that Summerween needs to become "an official thing," though. Trick or treating in warm weather vs. cold or rainy? Carving a watermelon? Bobbing for oranges at a costume pool party? See?

Who's with me? If you celebrate, send me a picture of your decorations on the AppChat. Happy Summerween!
