Huddle House announced yesterday that their new location in Owensboro is opening next month. Who’s excited about Southern inspired comfort food like Grandma used to make? I can smell the country cookin’ on the stove now!

The new Huddle House will open next month at 3248 Mount Moriah Drive off Hwy 54 in Owensboro. The Huddle House tradition began over 50 years ago and I'm so glad it will continue in our community!

Here's some items on the menu that I'm most excited about:

Stuffed Hashbrowns - Your favorite breakfast meats, scrambled eggs and American cheese stuffed between layers of our crispy hashbrowns. Served with buttery toast.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Waffle Sundae - Mini waffle with vanilla ice cream chocolate syrup and strawberry topping.

Country Fried Steak - with white pepper country gravy.

5 Star Chili - A hearty blend of beef, beans, tomatoes and traditional spices makes a delicious addition to any meal.

Typically open 24 hours, Huddle House serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. This unique offering recently placed Huddle House on Small Business Trends’ list of 20 Unique Restaurant Opportunities for Foodie Business Operators. The menu offers a mix of Southern inspired comfort food, including signature Big House breakfasts, crispy hash browns, creamy grits, golden waffles and fluffy omelets, all made to order. Other favorites include Big Bold Burgers, Big House sandwich platters, country fried steak with green beans and marinated grilled chicken with sweet potato fries.

The core values on which Huddle House was founded – serving freshly prepared, quality home-style food in a warm friendly environment that brings the community together – are as true today as they were more than 50 years ago.
