I Found The Good News Phone [PHOTOS]

On Thursday, I had the opportunity to go by the Owensboro Museum of Science and History for a short visit. I was called in to accompany Zoey and her class on their field trip. As the kids were all getting settled down for their tour to begin, I spotted a familiar artifact.

The Museum houses the "Good News Phone" from the Owensboro Chamber of Commerce Rooster Booster Breakfast. I used to help set up our broadcasts of Rooster Booster on our sister station WOMI. Chamber Goodwill Ambassador Kirk Kirkpatrick donated the phone when he retired in 2014. Our own Chad Benefield has served as emcee sever since.
