A new tradition of generosity is launching in the Town of Newburgh this year.

Newburgh Launches Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner

The 1st Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner for Those in Need is being organized to ensure no neighbor goes without a warm holiday meal. Organizers are currently collecting both food donations and financial contributions to make the event possible.

How And Where To Donate Food And Supplies

Food and monetary donations can be dropped off at LNB Community Bank, located at 1204 West Highway 662 in Newburgh, through November 20th. Needed food items include canned corn and green beans, instant mashed potatoes, and stovetop stuffing.

Donations boxes can also be found at the following locations for those looking for convenient drop-off options:

  • Newburgh Town Hall
  • Newburgh Museum
  • Blue Nash
  • Oak Modern
  • Snows Landscaping

Turkeys And Desserts Needed For The Meal

The Town of Newburgh has also shared that those wishing to donate a turkey can call 812-629-0373. To donate pumpkin pies or a chocolate sheet cake, call 812-305-5515. Volunteers are also needed and can sign up by calling 812-629-0241.

How To Make Monetary Contributions

Monetary donations may be made payable to Historic Newburgh, Inc. with “Thanksgiving Dinner” noted in the memo line. Donations can be dropped at LNB Community Bank, delivered to Historic Newburgh at the Aurand Trailhead located at 715 State Route 662, or mailed to Historic Newburgh, Inc at P.O. Box 417, Newburgh, IN 47629.

How To Request A Free Thanksgiving Dinner

The dinners will be available to residents in the Town of Newburgh, and requests for a free meal must be made by November 18th. To request a meal, call 812-499-8406.
