Restaurant Featured on ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’ Opening Soon in Evansville
If you watch 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' hosted by Guy Fieri on The Food Network, you know that chain restaurants are not featured very often. But Metro Diner didn't start out as a chain, but new locations are set to open soon.
Off The Chain
Let's go back to the year 2010. That was 15 years ago, and yes I used a calculator to figure that out. 2010 is the year that Guy Fieri helped establish Metro Diner as a legitimate spot for homemade cooking.

Metro Diner originated in Jacksonville, Florida in 1938, and was branded in 1992. After Metro Diner was featured on 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives', everybody wanted to try that famous meatloaf and the stuffed french toast. I mean seriously, watch how this french toast is made!

Metro Diner in Indiana
Last summer I had the chance to eat at a Metro Diner location in Terre Haute. I had no idea that it had been on 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives'. Shame on me! Everything that came out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. Of course, I went the simple route with a chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes.

Evansville, Indiana Location Opening Soon
There are currently three management positions open on Indeed.com for the Evansville location of Metro Diner. I did a search for the address and it looks like it will be opening in the former Biscuit Belly location on Evansville's East side. So, there is no opening date yet, but I will keep you posted!
