The Moon and The Sun Collide

Monday's Total Solar Eclipse is something that we will remember forever. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event that people will travel hundreds of miles to witness. And some of us have some rather wackadoo theories about what could happen on Monday, April 8, 2024, and even throughout this weekend.

Folklore and Total Solar Eclipse

Long before we had science and technology to help us figure out why the moon covered the sun, different cultures had some pretty wild theories. According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, the solar eclipse folklore is full of some wild theories that are influencing some of the conspiracies of the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. And honestly, we weren't there, so who knows what really happened.

10 Weird Things That Could Happen, But Probably Won't

Aliens will take this opportunity to check out Earth. Obviously, most of us will have special solar eclipse glasses on, and won't see them coming.

Some folks truly believe that the eclipse signals the end of times, or that Jesus will come back for the Rapture. Who really knows, though?

Those superpowers you've been dreaming about suddenly start working. If this happens, (It Won't - Probably) please don't practice flame throwing or anything out of control around the crowds of spectators.

I'm still not convinced that the rivers and streams won't do something weird. It's underwater, so I'm just going to go with my theory that something will happen.

Say goodbye to technology. Okay, maybe not forever, but there is a chance that call towers will be overloaded. You know how spotty internet service can be on a regular day, and the moon covering the sun could wreak some havoc on servers.

We know that all animals will react to the solar eclipse in different ways. Could this be the day when we can finally understand what every bark and meow means? Probably not, but who knows?
