Jammin’ for St. Jude Event in Kentucky Raises Thousands for St. Jude
Gavin Howard and the Howard Family of Knottsville, Kentucky joined the annual WBKR Window World St. Jude Radiothon Friday evening in Owensboro, Kentucky. They've been supporting the patients and families of St. Jude for over a decade now and continue to come up with incredible ways to raise money for the charity. For the third consecutive year, they hosted a Jammin' for St. Jude event. 2023's event was held on Saturday, September 9th and, as you can see from the photo below, drew a massive crowd.
That crowd was entertained by a variety of local entertainers who donated their time and talents to help raise money for the cause.
Jammin' for St. Jude featured Cam Thompson, Kalico, Parker McManaway, Latasha Shemwell, Lily Hoffman, the Oklahoma Hunnies, Chris Winfield and, of course, Gavin Howard- who years ago, when he was a small child, inspired his family to embark on their journey of supporting St. Jude.
In addition to live music, Jammin' for St. Jude featured incredible food (the nachos were amazing), a lively auction and, for the first time in its history, helicopter rides.
So how much money did the Howard family raise with Jammin' and their annual t-shirt sales? Take a listen!
Say, what? $33,000 is incredible.
