I am a huge Jeopardy! fan and have been since its revival in 1984, and I haven't looked back. Yes, it airs when I'm at work, but thanks to YouTube, I can see it when I get home. In bits and pieces, but I can see it. And I always enjoy seeing questions about Kentucky, and especially my hometown of Owensboro, pop up.

Owensboro Gets a Couple of Jeopardy! Shout-Outs

Back in 2004, Owensboro appeared in this clue:

"This movie heartthrob isn't 'From Hell' or from 'Sleepy Hollow;' he's from Owensboro, Kentucky."

The answer, of course, is Johnny Depp.

In 2010, this one appeared:

"Reflecting the state nickname, the International Museum for this genre of music is in Owensboro."

You know this one, too, right? It's bluegrass.

Easy Questions for Us, Difficult for Others

Below is a list of the last 12 questions asked about Kentucky, thanks to the Jeopardy! archive. They range in value from $200 to $1,200, and there are also a couple of Daily Doubles. The list also includes the five questions that were part of the "Kentucky History" category in September.

If you're not from Kentucky, I can see where some of these might trip you up. I'm not bragging, but I got all of them right. I don't know if that's because I'm from here or if I just paid close enough attention in my history classes. Give 'em a shot, and see how you do. And no cheating...the answers are below this gallery.
