Take my money, and take it NOW! Or I'll turn you into a newt! Or taunt you a second time! Or say "Ni! Ni! Ni!" until you give in and find me an aesthetically pleasing but not too expensive shrubbery.

One of my proudest days as a parent was when my child was old enough to watch the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. HE CACKLED THE WHOLE TIME. I figured he would get a kick out of it, but to have confirmation that he has an excellent sense of humor brought a tear to my eyes.

It is a favorite in our household, just like many others across the world. Next spring we will gather like the Knights of the Round Table here in Owensboro at the Riverpark Center. Here is the official announcement. It is too funny not to share in its entirety.

"After consulting several qualified medical professionals and two unqualified ones, we’re pleased to report that John Cleese remains remarkably alive. Join the legendary Monty Python co-founder on Friday, March 12, 2027 at 7:30 PM at RiverPark Center for a theatrical screening of the immortal classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail, followed by an unforgettable live conversation and audience Q&A filled with outrageous behind-the-scenes stories, hilarious observations, and absolutely no guarantee that any of his memories are historically accurate."

So, if you are like us Maddoxes and quote that iconic movie on a daily basis, and you love the legendary John Cleese, this is the perfect evening for you! Tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 9 at 10 AM CT at Ticketmaster.com and at the RiverPark Center Box Office. Their hours are Monday – Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM. A limited number of VIP packages will be available as well!

Hope to see you there! I'll bring my coconuts!
