The Green River Area Down Syndrome Association also known as GRADSA is gearing up for the 27th Annual Buddy Walk. For almost thirty years now, Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster counties have come together to celebrate October's National Down Syndrome Awareness Month. As always, the community is invited to join in the fun!

Saturday, October 19th, the day kicks off with a 5K run starting at 8 AM in downtown Owensboro to Moreland Park and back. Then, at 10 AM the party begins. Live performances from GRADSA’s Got Talent, Pop Stars, the Star Squad, and the Drums Crew. Enjoy this event with your family, fun inflatables, balloon twisting by Dr. Popper, yard games, and free food!

Using March 2019 data from the Social Security Administration, Stacker compiled a list of the most popular names in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C., according to their 2018 SSA rankings. The top five boy names and top five girl names are listed for each state, as well as the number of babies born in 2018 with that name. Historically common names like Michael only made the top five in three states, while the less common name Harper ranks in the top five for 22 states.
