When I was in school, I don't remember a lot of girls crowding the mirrors, and I know I never did. The only thing I checked if I did look in the mirror was my hair. I would get frustrated if there was one hair out of place. I never cared about checking my make-up at school, because I barely wore any. Remember the saying, "school is not a fashion show"? I took the advice to heart.

One middle school in northern Kentucky is changing the conversation on body image and bathroom mirrors, by replacing the mirrors with positive messages.

Woodland Middle School in Kenton County is trying out the mirror removal in a program started by the school's girls' empowerment club. Now there's something the kids of today can benefit from, empowerment and more importantly, positivity.
