We had the absolute SWEETEST dog visit us a few weeks ago for our Sparky Pet of the Week. I mean, let's be honest, they are all super sweet and deserving of loving homes, but every once in a while, one of them takes hold of my heart. I'll check in on them and see if they've been adopted and where they've gone.

If they've been adopted by someone I know, I love to keep tabs on them and see how happy they are in their forever homes. This particular dog, Jar Jar, was found all alone abandoned in a dog park. Luckily, he is now living in a foster home right now while he waits for someone to choose him.

Jar Jar is learning the ropes of potty training, how to follow commands, and mind his manners, among other things. He is highly food motivated (same Jar Jar!), which makes training a little easier.

Natalie is amazing and shares photos and videos all the time, so ever since I met him, I have been following his story. Still no luck finding someone to welcome this precious pup into their family, and I just cannot understand why. So here I am with a plea for help to spread the word about him.

Jar Jar is, of course, named after the lovable, goofy, sometimes crazy but in a funny way character from Star Wars Episode One. Which I think fits him PERFECTLY. This eight-month-old boxer mix is still long and lanky, with the cutest helicopter tail that gets going at hyper speed when he is happy. So basically, all the time.

And let me tell you, he is a LOVER! This dog gives HUGS! He will hop up and wrap his arms around you or waller around on the couch with you to snuggle. Until he sees someone else to share the love with, like in this video. Welcoming his foster mom home, he sees the camera person and gallops over to give them a squeeze too. So sweet!

If I did not already have two massive mutts and an ittyyyyyy bitty house, this boy would be a Maddox in a heartbeat! Some fun facts about Jar Jar:

  • Great in the crate
  • Super chill & observant on car rides
  • Loves the water hose
  • Good with kids
  • Passed kitten test but needs supervision
  • Never met a stranger
  • We are currently working on potty-training

Jar Jar is available for adoption through Sparky Pet Animal Rescue of Kentucky. Here is the chaotic (sorry about that!) video from when he visited the radio station:

I just LOVE HIM! The best part? Jar Jar's adoption is sponsored, so his vaccinations, his alteration, everything is paid for, and he is FREE to an amazing family or individual who is looking for a sidekick to keep them laughing and loving. You can use that money you would have spent to spoil your new baby with some toys and treats.

If you would like to see more pictures or videos, you can visit Phenomenal Adoptables of Owensboro, KY on Facebook. If you'd like to fill out an adoption application, visit sparkyrescue.com. My sweet husband will thank you because it means I won't bring home another dog! Lol!
