Kentucky Schools Will Remain Closed the Rest of the Academic Year
Kentucky governor Andy Beshear is expected to announce, during his Monday afternoon address, that Kentucky schools will stay closed for the remainder of the academic year.
According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, Governor Beshear spoke with superintendents of all districts and told them that students will need to continue their education "at home through distance learning."
Other border states like Ohio, Tennessee, and Indiana have made similar decisions.
More than half a million Kentucky students have been out of school and educating at home since mid-March and will now finish out the year in that fashion.
