Why This Beloved Kentucky Walmart Employee Deserves a Raise
If it were up to me, raises would be given out like Oprah gave out cars on her show. YOU get a raise! And YOU get a raise! And YOU get a... While I won't be making those kinds of decisions soon or ever, there is one particular Walmart employee I am making a case for today.
Over two years ago, I first saw her in my Facebook feed promoting Snoop Dogg jogging suits. Immediately, I was like, "I would buy anything this woman tells me to. I need one of those." Can you imagine me in a Snoop Dogg jogging suit? LOL! That's the power of Ann's marketing skills, baby.
She is hilarious! Getting us set up to tackle our New Year's Resolutions and throwing some shade on poor ole Randy!
You can't blame her! Throwing Randy under the bus is a GREAT advertising technique.
You know those Clearance markdowns you seem to always miss? Not with Ann! She's got your back!
QVC ain't got NOTHIN' on her. More than once, I have seen one of her videos for something and planned a Walmart trip just to see if my local store has the same product for the same price. Even if they don't, I always find something else I "need." When Ann says, "Come on down and see us. We'll fix you right up," I believe her. So do her followers who have started the hashtag #weloveann
She even has some pretty famous fans! Kacey Musgraves even stitched a video doing her best Ann impression. She did a pretty good job, but there is only one Ann!
Of course, Ann has caught the attention of Walmart's Corporate Office. Today, her store was awarded 1st place in the company for best social media. Look at her with her big ole cake.
I'm sure she shared! Honestly, though, I think it's safe to say Ann is the MVP here. She has followers all over the world at this point, and folks even stop in just to see her. People comment on the Facebook page asking where she is when she takes time off, so they've even made a life-size cutout of her!
But Ann can never be replicated. She is a one of a kind, essential, irreplaceable, and I hope she gets a big ole raise to go with that big ole cake. At the very least, she has the love of the entire internet. #weloveann (and Randy too, of course!)
