For Kentucky basketball fans, 1992 is pretty much the worst year of their lives. Seriously. If you aren't a member of Big Blue Nation, you could care less. For all of us who are strictly basketball fans, it's the year of "The Shot". Duke's Christian Laettner hit an overtime game-winner against the Wildcats in the Elite Eight. It's often referred to as the greatest shot in college basketball history.

So, how much would the jersey be worth that the Blue Devil wore during that game? Lelands recently auctioned the piece of sports history. Hey... I'm just as big of a sports fan as the rest of them, but I couldn't even believe how much someone paid for the threads...

$119,500!!!!!

Let me spell that out for you... One hundred, nineteen thousand, five hundred dollars!!!

Whew... that's a lot of dough for such a small amount of cotton.
