Very sad news to report tonight.  Don Moore II, one of the most iconic figures in tristate auto sales, has died.

Don Moore was a local pioneer.  Known for his zany commercial antics, Don Moore was a staple in local advertising for decades and cemented a legacy his sons have carried on to this day.  Our thoughts are with Don, David and John tonight . . . and the rest of the Moore family, including his loving wife.

Many of us were lucky enough to know Don.  Many of those who didn't know him felt as if they did.  For many years, he was in our homes, on our TV's, and in our funny bones.  He made his television debut in January of 1970, when he launched a new marketing campaign that has since become the cornerstone and signature of the Don Moore dealerships.  Whether you ever purchased a vehicle from Don, you always knew he was selling them and enjoying the heck out of doing it.

As his son John stated earlier this evening on Facebook-  We were so blessed to have such a loving father. He is truly in a better place. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

As you can imagine, prayers for the Moore family are pouring in.  Don will be greatly missed.  But the legacy of "DonDon" is one that will truly last forever.
