The Associated Press is reporting Libera, where the Ebola virus has killed over 3,000, plans to prosecute the first US Ebola patient for lying on an airport health questionnaire about having come in contact with an infected pregnant woman in the country who later died.

We also now know the identity of the patient being treated in Dallas, Thomas Eric Duncan. When asked if he had been in contact with an infected person while in Libera, he said no. Duncan arrived in Dallas on Sept. 20, he then sought medical care five days and he was sent home despite telling a nurse at Texas Presbyterian he had been to Ebola-ravaged Libera. Duncan returned to the hospital two days later when his condition worsened and he has been in isolation since Sunday where he listed in serious but stable condition.

Now 100 people are being monitored after they were possibly exposed by either Duncan himself, his girlfriend or her five children who were sent home from five schools in the Dallas area on Wednesday. A primary group of 12-18 people are being monitored with temperature checks twice a day. Meanwhile, Duncan's family are under orders to stay home, in isolation for 21 days, the Ebola incubation period. The apartment complex where Duncan's family lives is being guarded by local law enforcement and the common areas at the complex and the schools have been cleaned and sanitized.

It's also being reported a patient in Honolulu, Hawaii is in isolation and is being monitored but he or she may not be infected with Ebola.
