When she was a kid, Bayli Boling dreamed of being Miss Daviess County.  A couple of years ago at The Hines Center in Philpot that dream came true.  Then, Bayli set her sights even higher.  She dreamed of becoming Miss Teen United States.  And last night, in Washington, D.C., Bayli came oh so close.

Bayli Boling won the Miss Teen Kentucky United States pageant a couple of months ago and has been preparing for the national pageant since.  She spent the 4th of July weekend in Washington, D.C. competing in the prelims and finals.  While Bayli didn't win the crown last night, she represented Owensboro and the entire state of Kentucky incredibly well.  She finished inside the Top 10,  a huge achievement that Bayli, her family, friends and hometown are proud of.

And we have to give a special shout-out to Miss Jr. Teen Kentucky United States, Alexandra Watts (pictured on left).  Yes.  We had another hometown girl in the national pageant and she was superb as well.  Alexandra placed in the Top 16!

So, congratulations to Bayli and Alexandra.  They may not be leaving Washington, D.C. with national crowns, but they are coming home to Kentucky where they will continue to sparkle and shine!
