Country music legend, Loretta Lynn suffered a stroke and was admitted to a Nashville hospital this week.

On the official Loretta Lynn Facebook Page her team released this statement:

“American country music legend Loretta Lynn was admitted into a hospital in Nashville last night after she suffered a stroke at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

She is currently under medical care and is responsive and expected to make a full recovery.

Loretta, who just celebrated her 85th birthday, has been advised by her doctors to stay off the road while she is recuperating. Regrettably, upcoming scheduled shows will be postponed.

For information on when shows will be rescheduled, fans are encouraged to visit www.lorettalynn.com.”

I had the chance to interview Loretta and announce her on stage when she performed for the last time at the Owensboro Executive Inn and she was truly one of the kindest people I've ever been blessed to meet!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Loretta and her family and we hope she makes a quick recovery.

Here's my all time favorite!
