Make Rae Feel Like a Princess! Tell City, Indiana Family Requests Cards for Young Leukemia Warrior

The past year has been an emotional journey for the Hodges family, as on June 15th, 2024, 3-year-old Raelan was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. As she bravely fights this battle, she is surrounded by the love and support of her family, friends, and the entire community. As her birthday approaches, you can show your love by sending her a birthday card, making her feel like the princess she truly is.

RAELAN'S CANCER JOURNEY

Raelan is a sweet and sassy 3-year-old from Tell City, Indiana, showing incredible courage as she battles B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Her journey began unexpectedly after a routine visit to the emergency room for a rash on her belly. The situation quickly escalated as concerning blood tests led to her being flown to Norton’s Children’s Hospital. After numerous tests and scans, Raelan was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Just two days later, she began chemotherapy treatments. This has been a whirlwind of emotions for her family, from frustration, shock, fear, and overwhelming uncertainty. Through it all, Raelan remains a brave little warrior.

NEXT STEPS

Raelan’s journey is far from over, as she will need to return to Louisville once a week for chemotherapy treatments, which will continue for up to 2 1/2 years. This long road ahead will be full of challenges, but with her strength, the love and support from her family, friends, and community, she is not walking it alone. Every step forward is a victory, and Raelan’s bravery inspires everyone around her. Including me!

Raelan’s birthday is coming up on March 3rd, and her family would love to make it extra special by showering her with love! Raelan loves anything with princesses, birds, animals, or cute designs, and she feels “famous” (her words!) when she gets cards. Even if they arrive late, she will cherish each one.
