Owensboro has many ways to celebrate the Holiday season. With lights and displays all over the city, it's about to look a lot like Christmas everywhere we go. I am looking forward to all of the annual programs and events around town.

Some of my family's favorite community events are the Owensboro Christmas Parade, The Owensboro Symphony Christmas concert, and driving through Panther Creek Park to ooh and ahh over the lights. The Owensboro Science & History Museum also has an annual event that can give you an up close and personal experience with real live reindeer.

You know Dasher, and Dancer, and Prancer, and Vixen, and the whole crew of Santa's reindeer responsible for delivering presents to children all over the world. Now, I don't know which ones will be in attendance on Saturday, December 7th, but the meet and greet at the Owensboro Science & History Museum will be lots of festive fun.

Photo opportunities with the reindeer AND Santa are available as this will be a memory you and your kiddo will cherish for years to come. This experience has two sessions on the 7th. The first is 10 am to Noon and the second is 1 pm to 5 pm.  Even reindeer need a lunch break.
