Moonlite Bar-B-Q is 50

Today is the day to celebrate! The Bosley's, owners of Moonlite Bar-B-Q at 2840 West Parrish, invite you and your family to celebrate with them today. It was actually 50 years old on February 13 but who wanted to celebrate then?  So, today was chosen and as it turns out it will be a little brisk (not as in brisket) but rain-free.  The fun starts at 4:30 and continue to 7:30. There will be fun things for kids to do, live music and free food -- sandwiches, chips and drinks.  The fourth generation of Bosley's is working the restaurant assuring it stays open and in the family for the long-term future. The Messenger-Inquirer, in a Saturday editorial, stated, "The Bosley family has much to be proud of, and that includes helping to place both barbecue and Owensboro on the map".  Happy 50 years to Moonlite and here's to at least 50 more!
